A Fairy-Tale Love Story of SRK And Gauri
The love story of Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan has been among the top love tales in the Bollywood. Their story is very much unusual and strange in Tinsel Town. Both belong to different religions and cultures coming together in a Muslim and Hindu marriage. Both belonged to different financial statuses, with Gauri coming from a rich and affluent family, while SRK happened to be from a nominal one.
Gauri and Shah Rukh met at a party in Delhi. Shah Rukh was 18 then. He laid his eyes on a girl dancing on the floor and despite being shy in nature approached her for a dance. When he finally gathered the courage to ask her for a dance, Gauri who herself was not interested, turned him down by saying that she was waiting for her boyfriend. Shah Rukh's dreams of love shattered at that very moment. But in reality, there was no 'boyfriend'; it was her brother she was there with. Shah Rukh told in an interview, that later when he came to know about this, he called her and said, "mujhe bhi apna bhai samjho."
