Rasmalai made from spongy balls of paneer is an Indian dessert originated on the east coast of the Bay of Bengal. The balls are soaked in thick, reduced milk that resembles clotted cream with sprinkling of ground cardamom, saffron, slivered almonds and ground pistachios on the top. It is served chilled.
