Work as a team player:-
You are a new employee, but you are part of a team. The sooner you start acting like it the sooner you wll be accepted as a team player. Ask your manager or superior what you can be doing to help the team. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you are asked to participate in a team or group function. Coworkers will be more likely to help you out and answer your questions if you establish yourself as a team player.
