Exfoliate: don't exterminate.Exfoliation is probably the most important part of your skincare regime if you have oily, combination or acne-prone skin, and so it's importatnt to get it right. Removing the buildup of dead cells meansfewer blocked pores and zits, but don't go overboard you don't want to dry your skin out. Instead of scrubbing at your skin to exfoliate it, your best bet is salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxy acid derived from sugarcane. It gently exfoliates the surface of your skin, allowing a clear passage of sebum through your pores and then whisking it away when it reaches the surface. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that calm oil production and fade acne scars over time.
