The girl from Andhra Pradesh who wanted to be a doctor but became an actor, Jayaprada was discovered at the tender age of 14, dancing in a school show. A few Telugu movies under her belt and she was off to Bollywood to make the movie Sargam. Jayaprada, described by Saytajit Ray as: “the most beautiful face on Indian screen”, has acted in over 300 movies in seven languages.
