Getting job for clerical posts

Previously, the basic criteria for being eligible for the clerical cadre examination was a higher secondary pass out. However, ever since the IBPS has started conducting general examination for clerical posts, the eligibility criteria has been increased from higher secondary pass out to graduation degree holder. However, the examinations for clerical posts are comparatively easier than that for the probationary officer's post.

Candidates pursuing banking courses from reputed institution helps them to clear the examinations in just one go. The clerical staffs are also required to appear for separate examinations held by the banks as well. The salary paid to these staffs is also attractive, but the responsibilities are much lesser than that of a probationary officer.
