Preparing for the examinationsA person willing to get a job in a Public Sector Undertaking bank in India must at the first place prepare for the Indian Banking Personnel Service examination. In the second place, the respective banks at times also hold a separate examination for the recruiting personnel in their bank. However, it is important to clear the IBPS examination first for which the IBPS authority holds common examination for which the eligibility criteria is a graduation degree. An IBPS scorecard remains valid for one year and therefore, a candidate is able to appear in any of the bank's examinations with a single IBPS scorecard. The aspiring candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline as specified by the IBPS notification.
There are two kinds of examination for the banking services. One is for the clerical post and the other for officer or managerial post.
