Gajar Halwa (with khoya/mava):-
Ingredients
2 cups carrots (grated), 1 tbsp ghee, 2 tbsp milk, 4 tbsp sugar, 3/4 cups mava/khoya, 1tbsp raisins, 1 tbsp almonds/badam (chopped), 1/2 tsp cardamom/elaichi powder
How to make
First, heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add grated carrots and saute on medium flame for 4-5 minutes. Add milk and mix well. Now take 1 whistle in pressure cooker. Allow steam to escape before opening the cooker lid. Transfer steamed carrots into broad pan. Add sugar and mix well. Cook this on high flame for 5-7 minutes and keep stirring continuously. Add mava and mix well. Cook for more 1 to 2 minutes and stir it continuously. Add raisins, chopped almonds and cardamom powder in it. Cook for another 1 minute. Serve this delicious Gajar ka halwa hot.
