Sendai Daikannon is a large statue of the gem-bearing Nyoirin Kannon form of Kannon, located in Sendai, Japan. It is the tallest statue of Nyoirin Kannon in the world, and the tallest statue of a goddess in Japan. As of 2018, it is one of the top five tallest statues in the world at 100 metres (330 ft). At the time of its completion in 1991 it was the tallest statue in the world, but has since been surpassed for that title.
