Before signing any film, actors want to know about the script and their role in the movie to ensure that they don't do a project which might prove to be a mistake for their career.While there are instances of actors sitting through script narrations before taking on a project, there are examples of actors who signed on the dotted line without reading the script.
Deepika Padukone - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
It was her faith in her director Ayan Mukerji and her co-star actor Ranbir Kapoor, which made actor Deepika Padukone say yes to the film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). "When I agreed to do the film, I had not read the script, but I had faith in Ayan and working with Ranbir was the other & shy; reason I said 'yes' to the film," Deepika had said at the time.
Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol - Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
These two actors signed Karan Johar's directorial debut "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" without listening to the script as Karan is a very good friend of both of them.
